DOWNTOWN RALEIGH, NC | ART OF PORTRAITURE WORKSHOP
Photographing portraits can be one of the most challenging aspects for a photographer of any level. Technical skills are certainly the first steps to know, but in addition to being technically sound, building a connection with your subject is what will make the difference and yield you the results that will truly help your photographs stand out.
The ART OF PORTRAITURE WORKSHOP class will go through photographing real people in different mock-scenarios. From family portraits, to those holiday or party group shots you’re constantly asked to capture, as well as more formal sessions like headshots, this workshop will help eliminate the fear of saying “yes” to that next portrait shot you’re asked to take.
HOUR 1, we will go over the technical skills such as:
– Camera and lens combinations – let’s see what you have and how we can maximize it.
– Basic overviews of camera settings such as ISO, Aperture, Shutter speed, focusing and metering
– Q&A Session to answer questions on settings and gear
HOUR 2, we will go over:
– Building connections with your subject
– Posing a single person
– Posing a couple
– Posing a group
– Using light
